During Balkan wars and WW1 Bulgarian infantry regiments had a non combatant company (нестроева рота) each, and likewise cavalry and artillery had non combatant platoons. Can anybody tell me which was their duty?
It's not the correct translation "non combatant " in the terms of Geneva Convention, this tipe of companies is for depot duties, security and also for some logistic works. May be it's correct to say "not in battle order company" but it's a too large to prononce.
