i was looking around and saw some topics entitled with nations and i thought it maybe a wargame

how big is it? what time period? are there units or is it just pure diplomacy?

Units are...generic "light tank division, heavy tank division", etc, however there are quite a few techs for research that give different bonuses, and the combat rules are quite definite. There's a guy that leads the game and makes all the calculations. Everyone knows only their stuff and what they get from intelligence.

It's quite complex but nowhere near what we're preparing now
