I am looking for any information about Soviet project 205 (NATO codename "Osa") warships in Bulgarian Navy. There is a lot of incosistency in the literature (even Bulgarian). In Russian publications I found that: R-73 (Yard No. 439; in Soviet Black Sea Fleet 19.09.1965-1970, since 1968 in conservation), R-30 (Yard No. 464, in BSF 1966-1970) and R-176 were transferred in early 70's (1971 or 1972) to Bulgaria. Next, the modified units of these warships (project 205U, not the export version 205ER!), were transferred, e.g. R-169 (Yard No. 473??, in BSF 1968-?).
I.Todorov has written that 3 Osa-I (pr. 205) units were transferred in 1971 (Smerch, Svetkawitsa, Tayfun) followed by three Osa-II (205M??) units (Uragan, Burya, Grum). Ch.Chonev in his book gives the same names of these ships but claims that first three are of Osa-II type (Smerch - pennant number 111, Svetkawitsa - 101, Tayfun -102). Units of Osa-I class has the names: Uragan - 103, Burya - 112, Grum - 113 (built 1966-70, transferred between 1977 and 1982).
Western periodicals (e.g. Jane's Fighting Ships, Weyers Flotten Taschenbuch) claims, that in Bulgarian Navy serve 2 Osa-I ships (Burya -103, Tayfun - 112) and four Osa-II (Uragan - 102, Grum - 104 (ex 101), Svetkawitsa - 111, Smerch - 113) with previous pennant numbers (till 1985) 21, 22, etc.
